With custom dashboards, you can display your carbon data exactly how you want it.

Simply add charts, textboxes, images and other widgets to build your fully customisable dashboard.

  1. Go to Custom dashboards in the Analytics tab of 🎙Communicate.

  2. Click Create dashboard.

  3. Click Add widget and choose from:

    • Text: enter your text in the title and body boxes. You can use markdown language to stylise the text (e.g. italicize words).

    • Image: upload a PNG or JPG file and give it a title.

    • Treemap: insert a treemap visualization of your emissions.

    • Roadmap: insert your company’s reduction roadmap graph.

    • Custom: create a custom display like a bar chart or a KPI.

  4. Move the widgets around, edit them, and delete them with the icons in the top right of each widget.

  5. Click All time and Filter to select a date range and apply filters to the data.

  6. Click Publish to create the custom dashboard.

Tip: You can create a duplicate of your custom dashboard, by clicking Edit > More > Duplicate. This is great if you want to create similar dashboards for each of your business units.

Sharing your dashboard

You can share your custom dashboards with everyone in your company's account, by toggling Shared on at the top of the dashboard.

Exporting custom dashboards

You can export a particular chart or widget, or your entire custom dashboard, by clicking the download icon in the top-right.

Download it as a JPG image, or get the data behind the chart in a CSV file.

  7. Click Done.

Custom metrics

  1. Under Chart settings, select Custom metric.

  2. Give the metric a name and unit.

  3. Click Add formula and start typing a formula for your custom metric.

Here are a few examples of custom metrics you might want to use:

  • Carbon intensity per revenue:

    • reporting_metric(”carbon_value”)/revenue of the company

    • Change date range to “Last year”

  • Carbon intensity per employee:

    • reporting_metric(”carbon_value”)/number of employees

    • Add a filter to an “Employees” branch or to “Employee commuting” and "Business travel" emission categories

  • Carbon intensity of a product:

    • reporting_metric("carbon_value")/reporting_metric("activity_value")

    • Add a filter to a “X product” branch
